Another Baldwin has been inducted into the crypto community. Like Stephen Baldwin did with Dash, now Alec has been admitted into the sphere to be the face of eToro.
The Tel-Aviv based crypto trading platform recently rolled out a new feature that allows crypto enthusiasts to trade virtual currencies without so much risk. The feature, dubbed CopyTrader, allows eToro users to copy crypto investments from other crypto traders. The goal is to help reduce risk factors by providing users with a supposed profitable investment already tested by other crypto traders. So, you get to plunge directly into the market, without brainstorming about crypto investments.
Unraveling the good news on its twitter page, eToro US said “we believe that trading #crypto shouldn’t be harder than retweeting this post. That’s why we invented CopyTrader™ and hired this man to demonstrate.”

To garner a huge customer pool, the crypto and stock trading platform employed the award winning actor to help promote the newly added crypto trading feature.
As an award winning actor, known for his comedic roles in 30 Rock and for satirically portraying President Donald Trump in Saturday Night Live, Alec Baldwin is expected to be the face of eToro for as long as the contract stands. This includes acting as a spokesperson for the firm and performing in advertisements to promote mainstream acceptance of cryptocurrency trading (and crypto in general).
And Baldwin did not fall short of expectations in the recently published ad. In the ad, Alec is seen as an actor trying to convince the public about the ease and benefits of using the crypto trading feature. With the stress on the ease of trading, Alec demonstrated how the feature works and how it is ridiculously easy to use. As eToro rightly puts it, “We believe that trading crypto shouldn’t be harder than retweeting this tweet.” And it sure seems that easy.
Although easy, it is essential to note that users also stand to lose. I mean, it is crypto – a highly speculative market – and there is no winter jacket to protect you from incurring a loss. The crypto trading platform is just a means to quickly generate likely successful crypto investments.
eToro swears the feature boasts a 73% success rate in the 124 million copies trades it was tested on. Users are advised to weigh the risk factors before delving into this rather alluring pool.
