Democrats in the Ohio State House of Representatives have proposed launching a blockchain voting pilot for overseas military voters registered in the Buckeye State. Introduced Tuesday as part of the Democrats’ elections law overhaul, the bill calls on Ohio’s Secretary of State Frank LaRose to “establish a pilot program” of blockchain voting specifically for uniformed service members stationed outside the U.S. The bill was introduced by Reps. Ohio Resident Charged With Laundering $311M in Bitcoin for AlphaBay

Ohio resident Larry Dean Harmon, 36, has been charged with laundering more than $300 million in bitcoin for darknet marketplace AlphaBay. The man from Bath Township, about 30 miles south of Cleveland, was arrested Feb. 6 for conspiracy to commit money laundering, operating an unlicensed money transmitter business and money transmission without a license, according to cleveland.com. SEC Charges Ohio Man for $33M Crypto Fraud Targeting Physicians

An Ohio man has been charged by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission for allegedly defrauding 150 investors in a cryptocurrency trading scheme. The SEC’s complaint, filed in federal court in New York on Feb. 11, accuses Michael W. Ackerman of raising at least $33 million in violation of anti-fraud provisions for federal securities laws. US State of Ohio Suspends Service for Paying Taxes With Bitcoin

Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague announced the immediate suspension of the OhioCrypto.com website that allows businesses to pay taxes with Bitcoin (BTC). City of Dublin Ohio Plans to Launch Bitcoin Cash-Based SLP Token
