Coinbase had proposed the Lend product which would see its users earn up to 4 percent interest on selected crypto assets. However, the exchange revealed that it had received the threat of a lawsuit from the SEC if it continued with the plan. Coinbase announced in an updated blog post that it would no longer launch the USDC APY program, and it has discontinued the waitlist for the program. Meanwhile, The U.S. Department of Homeland Securityโs Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) branch awarded a three-year contract to Coinbase for its analytics software .
