Why am I am selling my mining rig? Is mining still profitable in 2022? Is GPU mining dead? Find out in this video!
Mining Ethereum is still profitable in 2022, however, the upcoming Merge (Eth 2.0) upgrade will bring an end to Eth mining for good!
There are 3 reasons why I believe Ethereum GPU mining is dead:
1) Energy prices are rising globally
2) GPU depreciation is offsetting profits
3) The Eth 2.0 Merge upgrade which is scheduled for Q2 2022 will change Ethereum from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake
Most people want to know how much money does crypto mining make, so in this video, I share my full mining profits over the past 10 months.
I discuss all of my profits in terms of Bitcoin as I mine Ethereum using Nicehash and they payout in BTC, however, mining Bitcoin is not impacted by this change.
If you are thinking about getting into Bitcoin mining then you should look into ASIC miners as BTC cannot be mined with GPUs.
