This is the terrifying moment a driver leapt to safety as his truck was dragged into a landslide at a mine in Indonesia.
Dashcam footage shows the driver reversing his vehicle when he notices the earth collapsing around him.
He then manoeuvred and accelerated in a desperate bid to escape before finally jumping out and abandoning the lorry.
At least two workers operating nearby heavy equipment were also seen running from the scene at the nickel mine in East Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province, on Friday, January 16.
The truck continued moving on its own, becoming buried under soil and debris, with its windscreen shattering and the wiper still moving.
Authorities said the site is part of a nickel mining area operated by PT Mega Haltim Mineral, specifically in the tailings zone of Ekor Village, South Wasile District.
Reports said three workers were buried under debris, with two confirmed dead and one still missing.
Rescue operations are ongoing as officials continue to assess the situation.
