The crew drills, blasts, scales, repairs, and hauls their way forward, one round at a time, trying to open up more of the vein before winter shuts the season down. As the drift opens up, we start seeing encouraging signs in the vein: telluride bands, sulfides, copper oxides, gray mineralized pockets, and even a small piece of visible gold. There are hints that the structure may be widening, signs that old water movement changed the vein, and growing evidence that this zone could still hold something special. The crew bags quartz for bulk sampling, studies the exposed rock, and debates the best way to chase the strongest mineralization.
