He is pointing to a VIX and oil signal that has appeared only four times in market history, and every single time it marked a major low for equities followed by strong forward gains. He believes that signal has just appeared again. And if equities have already bottomed while the war headlines are still frightening, history says the next phase could be a bull market running all the way through 2028.
Inside that environment, Tom Lee has built a precise Ethereum price framework from two directions. The eight-year average price ratio between Ethereum and Bitcoin implies a price near $12,000. The 2021 cycle peak ratio implies $22,000.
And in his base case, where Ethereum becomes the primary settlement layer for tokenized assets and agentic AI transactions, the number climbs toward $60,000. That target follows a composite of historical cycle lows that previously resolved into moves of 50 times and 220 times respectively.
