FTX, the leading crypto trading platform, is in advanced talks to buy Bithumb. Allegedly, both companies have been in discussions for several months, and yet there are no deals confirmed.  Along with Upbit and Coinone, Bithumb is one of the top centralized South Korean-based crypto exchanges. The economic crisis in crypto is waning, FTX co-founder and CEO Sam Bankman-Fried thinks. He noted in an interview on Axios Pro Thursday that he is not getting “a ton of calls” from distressed businesses, as he was in the first weeks of the so-called crypto winter. Crypto exchange FTX and its United States subsidiary FTX US have reportedly each set new fundraising targets following the firms planning several high profile acquisitions and credit lines to firms.
