Exchange Giant CME’s Bitcoin Futures Just Hit a Huge Discount to Spot Prices

The report said the ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITO) has begun rolling its August contracts into contracts that expire later, possibly causing downward pressure on the front-month contracts. Yesterday, BITO rolled over 1,000 August contracts and will roll over a further 3,000 August contracts by Friday. Previous times when the fund rolled over exposures, front-month contracts have tended to move toward discounts to spot, according to Arcane. Source

Major derivatives marketplace Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group intends to launch options trading for its Ether (ETH) futures products. In a Thursday announcement, the CME Group said that subject to regulatory review, it plans to launch options contracts for its Ether futures, sized at 50 ETH per contract. Crypto futures exchange CoinFLEX is reportedly seeking court approval for a restructuring plan as it faces financial trouble following a substantial default by one of its customers. Citing an email sent to CoinFLEX creditors on August 9th, Fortune reports that the embattled firm filed to the Seychelles Supreme Court an application for the reorganization and restructuring of the company. FTX partners with Paradigm for ‘one-click’ futures spread trading

Digital asset investment firm Paradigm has announced the launch of spreads trading in partnership with crypto exchange FTX. In a Friday blog post, Paradigm said under the FTX partnership users would be able to utilize “one-click” trading with “no leg risk” for the spread between spot, perpetuals and fixed maturity futures on Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), ApeCoin (APE), Dogecoin (DOGE), Chainlink (LINK) and Litecoin (LTC).
