Ripple is building infrastructure that connects traditional Wall Street trading systems with blockchain settlement through the XRP Ledger. By operating as an SEC-regulated prime broker integrated with DTCC, Ripple allows institutional trading desks to access XRPL liquidity while remaining compliant with existing financial systems.
Through the Hidden Road acquisition and NYSE MPID listing, Ripple acts as a bridge that routes prime broker trading flows directly onto XRPL.
On the technology side, tokenized securities and stablecoins on XRPL settle trades in about 3โ5 seconds, compared to the traditional T+2 settlement cycle, while still netting back into DTCC records. RLUSD stablecoin and XRP function as the tokenized cash used for instant settlement and collateral movement.
Overall, Ripple aims to create 24/7 tokenized equity market infrastructure, where banks and brokerages integrate XRP and stablecoins through APIs in the backend while users interact with normal brokerage interfaces, hiding the blockchain complexity.
