Harvard University has launched three blockchain initiatives including the Digital Finance Initiative, the HLS Blockchain & Fintech Initiative in both 2020 and 2021. Guest speakers have included Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Gary Gensler on “Future of FinTech” and Tim Massad, former chairman of the Commodities Futures Trading Commission and a research scholar at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, on “Digital Assets and Facebook’s Libra.”
