Enhancing Digital Transactions

The collaboration aims to enhance digital transaction capabilities in South Africa through Xion Global’s innovative solutions. By integrating with the Scan to Pay application, part of South Africa’s largest QR ecosystem, Xion Global aligns with Tether’s goal of facilitating accessible digital transactions. This partnership is set to transform how South Africans interact with digital currencies by leveraging blockchain technology for educational opportunities and advanced financial services.

Moreover, the integration of USD₮ on the Polygon Labs network will enable users to connect MetaMask wallets and utilize Xion Global’s Web3 payment APIs for real-time transactions, making crypto payments as seamless as traditional fiat transactions.

Tether and Xion Global will launch an extensive digital education campaign across South Africa. This campaign will feature educational videos, case studies, live talks with industry leaders, and accessible materials on cryptocurrency payments. The initiative aims to demonstrate the economic benefits of stablecoin payments and foster trust in digital financial solutions.

This effort is part of a broader initiative to create a world where education is limitless and accessible to everyone, regardless of location. Tether has previously supported various educational initiatives in Africa, such as sponsoring the Africa Tech Summit, the African Bitcoin Conference in Ghana, and collaborating with CBC during the Bitcoin Pizza Day. Additionally, Tether has partnered with Bitnob to educate university students across Ghana on Bitcoin and stablecoins.
