In this video, I upgrade my Octa Miner GPU rigs with i7-4790S CPUs, 512GB mSATA SSDs, and attempt a RAM upgrade to 16GB… but things don’t go exactly as planned.
I was hitting a major CPU bottleneck running AI/simulation workloads on my rigs, so I decided to go all-in on upgrading 10 systems at once. Risky move… 😅
💥 What worked:
i7-4790S CPU upgrade = HUGE improvement
mSATA SSD = faster + cleaner setup
💀 What didn’t:
16GB DDR3 SODIMM RAM = completely incompatible
