Hong Kong regulator re-evaluates retail crypto ETFs laws

The Securities and Futures Commission, or SFC, in Hong Kong is reviewing regulations surrounding virtual currency transactions, including whether individuals can invest in exchange-traded funds, or ETFs. According to a report by South China Morning News on Nov.3, the 2018 regulations limited transactions of cryptocurrencies via funds or trading platforms to professional investors with at least HK$8 million to invest. Coinbase Users Can Borrow Up to $1M With Bitcoin as Collateral

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase is now allowing customers to borrow as much as 40% of their bitcoin value up to $1 million with no credit checks, the company tweeted on Tuesday. The borrowing minimum and maximum amounts may vary by state, Coinbase added.
