First of all, let’s take a look at the fees of Coinbase. Coinbase generally makes you pay a pretty high price in fees when you buy Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. You will pay a spread fee and then one other fee that depends on the amount of crypto you are buying.
On the other hand, Binance, specifically Binance US, has a much cheaper fee structure. You will give up less Bitcoin due to fees on Binance than on Coinbase, but this alone does not make Binance the better app. It’s just one positive.
Next, I compare the features and the mobile apps of Coinbase vs Binance US. Coinbase is made for the beginner investor whereas Binance is for the experienced crypto trader.
Coinbase has an amazing app with a lot of cool features that everyone should find easy to use. This is different from Binance which has a more complicated platform, but a very good charting tool. In terms of Binance US vs Coinbase, this one definitely has the more in-depth cryptocurrency analysis.
However, security tells a different story. Binance may have cheaper fees and a more advanced trading system, but the company is riddled with regulatory issues and a shady reputation. Coinbase, also, is not an angel.
Overall, when comparing Coinbase vs Binance, all angles must be looked at. While Binance wins in a lot of ways, it probably does not win in terms of security and safety.
