AIC Adopts Blockchain Through Partnership With Ubitquity

Aircraft escrow, title search, and document filing service AIC has signed as a client with Ubitquity. In this partnership, Ubitquity will help AIC create a blockchain-based system for its new Aircraft Closing Room.

Bringing Blockchain to the Aircraft Industry With Ubitquity
“AIC is one of the most innovative companies in its industry,” said Ubitquity founder and CEO Nathan Wosnack.
Keeping true to its innovative nature, Wosnack continued, “Investing in blockchain technology is a natural fit for the company.”
AIC’s blockchain system will run on the Ubitquity SaaS platform and its API. The combination of these services will allow the new AIC system to store information on the blockchain, reportedly helping it ensure the authenticity of the information involved in its aircraft title, registration, and documentation services.
“When I bought AIC Title Service in 2003, my goal was to take an archaic industry and turn it into an industry of today,” said AIC owner Clay Healy.
“The next step of this [modernization] process is blockchain.”
After the implementation of its Ubitquity-powered blockchain in the Aircraft Closing Room, AIC said it plans to expand its use of blockchain technology to other services.
Founded in 2016, Ubitquity offers blockchain-based recordkeeping services for the real estate industry. With this latest partnership with AIC, Ubitquity wants to show that its services have uses beyond real estate, with applications in all aspect of data management and verification.
Ubitquity has announced several major developments in 2018, finding itself in the spotlight of both mainstream and crypto media. Earlier this year, the company’s services were used by the University of British Columbia to test a blockchain-based land registry program in Brazil.
