On the second day of the #CGNewYork conference, MNP Partner Hassan “Hash” Qureshi and Senior Consultant Joe MacCallum took the stage to talk about MNP, an accounting firm servicing coast-to-coast in the United States and Canada, and the studies they have made on the #BSV blockchain.

Their findings showed the differences in the energy consumption of BTC, BCH, and BSV, and concluded that BSV was essentially more efficient in terms of power consumption, especially when dealing with larger scales.
“BTC consumes a significant amount of energy more than the other two protocols, we’re talking orders of magnitude. BTC is increasing in consumption over time for both kilowatt-hours per transaction and kilowatt-hours per megabyte. But if we look at BSV it is a completely different story – it is actually trending downward over time,” MacCallum explained. BSV’s efficiency per transaction scales with the block size and network usage.
