Change Healthcare and TIBCO Software announced a partnership to build the first smart contract system for healthcare. The platform, combining the Change Healthcare Intelligent Healthcare Network blockchain technology and TIBCO’s smart contract developer project, will enable health plans and financial partners to easily develop and deploy smart contract-based processes that automate events across the healthcare transaction processing lifecycle.
Deloitte and identity management company Attest are teaming up to build a blockchain-powered digital identity solutions for government clients. “Working with Attest, we will be able to help government clients offer solutions using digital identities that better accommodate the needs government has across that wide expanse of abilities,” Wendy Henry, managing director of Deloitte Consulting, said in a statement.
Substratum announced the development of a new cryptocurrency exchange called Amplify Exchange. The hybrid exchange – a combination of both a distributed and decentralized exchange – will provide fiat/crypto gateways for the top 100 cryptocurrencies at launch. It has an easy-to-use interface that traders of all experience levels can use to buy and sell major cryptocurrencies directly from their bank and credit accounts. Users will also be able to use cryptocurrencies to purchase goods and services directly from merchants.
Bitfury, which provides bitcoin mining infrastructure, has raised $80 million in a closed funding round. The round was led by European venture capital fund Korelya Capital.
Consumer protection lawyer Jeffrey Berns, CEO of Blockchains, plans to build a crypto city in Nevada. Berns bought more than 67,000 acres of land in the desert for $170 million earlier this year and now he revealed at the Prague Blockchain Week that his company will build a Blockchains Campus where developers from around the world will collaborate and create the advancements necessary to bring these concepts to life.
