By CCN: Changpeng “CZ” Zhao wants Craig Steven Wright to pick on someone his own size. The binance CEO has announced a new Binance Charity Foundation program dedicated to the legal fees of people who can’t afford to fight sue-happy Wright alone. To kick things off, CZ is putting his money where his mouth is and donating $10,000 in BNB to the fund. The BNB is earmarked for people who are being targeted by the Satoshi Nakamoto imposter but who lack the resources to battle him in court. The Binance CEO expects the cases will be a “slam dunk,” tweeting:
“The donations will be sent to selected lawyer directly from BCF, with proper verifications and tracked on the blockchain. And when the case is done, we should get the funds back from the lawyers.”
Wright is seemingly threatening individuals with the deepest pockets, but the charitable fund has more of a David vs. Goliath ring to it. So far, Wright is reportedly targeting Bitcoin Cash evangelist Roger Ver, who according to Ver the Australian entrepreneur is suing for GBP 100,000, Peter McCormack, who is behind the podcast “What Bitcoin Did”, and Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin. But Wright has also come after someone in the crypto community who goes by the handle @hodlnaut for calling him a fraud.
CZ’s poll asking the crypto community whether or not they’ll vote has thus far garnered more than 1,000 votes, two-thirds of which are in favor of donating to stop CSW.
CSW is picking on the people who have a hard time fronting their legal fees. How about we do a @BinanceBCF charity program to raise money from the community for legal fees for anyone CSW sues?@PeterMcCormack @rogerkver @jihanwu

CZ Getting His Hands Dirty
CZ has been a voice of calm in the crypto community and is among the few to trumpet a collaborative environment. In fact, he was one who inspired the #delistBSV movement, setting in motion a wave of bitcoin exchanges that followed his lead. Craig Wright is the creator of Bitcoin SV but has claimed to be bitcoin’s maker Satoshi Nakamoto, which has inspired the “Craig Wright is a fraud” movement. CZ apparently felt compelled to stand up for the little guy.
“Trust me when I say I really didn’t want to get involved in this mess. As boring as I am, I do have better things to do. But sometimes, you have to do go down to the sewers and clean up shi…”
So far McCormack has responded, basically saying thanks but no thanks.
“Hmmm. Thanks for this CZ but I really don’t think people should donate their hard-earned Bitcoin to my fund. I got myself into, it is up to me to deal with. Also, it may cost more to fight it than what they want.”

CZ’s Unrivaled Influence
CZ is one of the crypto leaders who is using his influence for good. The Binance Charity Foundation has made helping children its mission and is using the transparency of the blockchain to underpin the initiative. Craig Wright certainly acts like a petulant child but no BNB for him.
