- As the lockdown eases, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are beginning to experience life in the spotlight – Hollywood style.
- A swarm of paparazzi drones is just the latest evidence they’ll never find privacy in L.A.
- Harry and Meghan thought they could have it all; will they ever learn that’s just a fantasy?
It had all been going so well. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had finally managed to make their move from Vancouver Island to Los Angeles.
That was always on the cards, of course. The pitstop in Canada was mostly for PR purposes. Vancouver Island? Not nearly enough media for Meghan.
The spotlight is oxygen for that woman. As long as it’s all on her terms, of course.
Meghan Markle may have misjudged her ability to manipulate the paparazzi
When the couple finally surfaced in the City of Angels, it was to a somewhat muted response.
In fact, things were so slow that they reportedly had to manufacture some press coverage of their own during a charity food run.
After all, everyone in L.A. was on lockdown due to the worldwide pandemic. Including the paparazzi.
I commented a few weeks back that if Meghan Markle and Prince Harry believed they had escaped the British media for a life of relative peace – but with the added bonus of publicity and media attention on-tap – they were in for a rude awakening.
It’s pretty clear that the “Hollywood Royals” were wanting to have their cake and eat it too. A life where they could enjoy the bright lights of the media attention when they wanted but would be left alone when it suited them.
Life doesn’t work that way. They were naive to think it did.
Meghan and Harry ‘fear for Archie’s safety’ as drones swarm their residence
We’re not even at the stage where normal life has resumed, and already Meghan and Harry are facing problems.
Reports in the U.K. suggest the couple “fear for Archie’s safety” amid claims that drones are being flown over the property they’re currently freeloading in.
Harry and Meghan have reported at least five aerial intrusions, all of which they blame on members of the U.S. media complex.
Welcome to Hollywood, kids!
Is this really what Prince Harry wants?
But don’t think Hollywood Harry and Malibu Meg plan to take this affront to basic decency lying down. That’s right. The couple who have to rely on daddy to pay their bills plan to beef up their security detail.
My question? With what money?
They’re already searching down the back of their sofa to cover the repayment for the refurbishments made to Frogmore Cottage.
It was made pretty clear that to finance that repayment, Meghan and Harry needed Prince Charles to cover their current security costs.
A friend speaking to The Express commented:
Imagine if you were in their shoes facing that, how would that feel? To have drones buzzing around 20 feet above your head when you are trying to play with your son?
How would I feel?
I’d probably feel like I’d have been better off staying in the seclusion and safety of Frogmore Cottage! But then again, that’s just me.
I wonder what Prince Harry really makes of all this. Being stuck in L.A., far away from friends and family, drones flying over his head every time he nips out into the garden for some fresh air.
Is this what it’s come to? And more importantly, is this what he wants for himself and his son?
