Nigerian social payments app, Bundle announced on July 20 that it is shutting down its crypto exchange arm.  According to a statement released on the company blog, explaining that it is ceasing its crypto exchange operations as it focuses on expanding the services of Cashlink as a payment solution. The national cryptocurrency exchange, announced by the Indonesian government a week ago, has begun to function, according to a statement from the country’s Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (CFTRA). The platform will be the only space in the country where the legal exchange of digital assets is allowed.  CFTRA confirmed the opening of the exchange on July 20. In addition, the CFTRA decree establishes a Futures Clearing House along with the exchange. Cryptocurrency exchanges are finding novel ways to improve internal departments and functions using artificial intelligence, according to Bitget managing director Gracy Chen. Crypto Exchange Binance Slashes Worker Benefits as Profit Falls: WSJ

Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, Binance’s CEO, however, told workers in a company meeting on Friday that Binance was still profitable and had not been impacted by the recent lawsuit against it by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, according to attendees at the meeting that spoke to the Journal. He did say, though, that there could be additional layoffs every three to six months and that he did not know if and when the worker benefits that had been cut would be coming back. Source
