Prime Minister of Czech questions the bitcoin mining operations
The mining of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have become a huge topic in the Czech Republic politics. There has been an unexpected political discussion between the Prime Minister of Czech, Andrej Babis and a few oppositions from the Czech Pirate Party and is now the center of attention. The Prime Minister has accused the opposition of pushing the mining of bitcoins which serves no real functionality to what is currently needed in society. The Czech publication that goes by the name Hospodarske Noviny and opposite party member Jakub Michalek has questioned the Prime Minister on the progressiveness of digital databases for official documentation.
The Prime Minister replied with a question mark on the oppositions contributive efforts towards the IT sector. Stating that opposition is not qualified to ask any questions concerning the affairs of digital data as the only thing they are busy with is the Mining of Bitcoins in the IT sector. He further stated that:
“Talked so much about it, but did not do anything else than mining bitcoin. We expect you the party to get involved as well.”
The social gathering member Jakub Michalek replied to the Ministers responses as being “brainwashed”.
The Czech Pirate Party was foundered back in 2009 and is said to be one of the youngest parties in the country. The Pirate Party is also the third largest party that resides in the chamber of deputies, with a position of 22 out of 220 seats in parliament.
Discussions of Bitcoin mining puts the government on their feet
There are no issues with having a link to cryptocurrencies, said the Prime Minister of Czech in responses to the member of the opposition. In response, the Pirate party sarcastically said that his desktop heated up his property, which he could be referring to surveillance or monetary value.
In a report by the Economic Journal, there are over a thousand different e-commerce stores that are using the speed and ease of transaction of cryptocurrencies as a means of payment transfers. This technology is changing the global financial sector in unexpected ways. There was a Blockchain and Bitcoin conference that was held at the beginning of this year in the capital city of Prague. The country has seen many years of successful bitcoin and other cryptocurrency mining operations. Whether the opposition has continued to mine cryptocurrencies like bitcoin is still unclear, as this is important to the crypto markets itself. So regardless of all the negative comments from the Prime Minister on the industry, this ambassador is still quite important to many in the industry.
